What is the best way as an individual to blunt the rise of fascism in the face of an external threat. Clearly it has already occured in the US, but it may be starting to finally ebb.

It would have been better if it's rise was blunted. Militantism, and police state are like cancers on civil liberty.

But in an age when fear of the bomb can be used to cow any large group of normally unconcerned citizens, how do you assauge their fears. But are the best acts as a anti-fascist organization, or as an individual to prevent the cultural rise of fear.

I'm thinking this:
1) recognize this as the calm before the next storm
2) lower the volume by getting rid of the desperation
3) find incidents where people can get used to taking action and succeeding
4) watch the tide change

oh and whenever a troll posts thank them for giving you an opportunity to post some more

The most important thing to do is to raise public awareness about how governments engineer conflicts to advance their agendas. If public anger cannot be assuaged, then it should be redirected towards the real manipulators.

i'm beginning to think people are exhausted. we need to make it all bite size.

for example:
remember your school playground and the bullies. it's like that.

ok I'm kidding but you get my point.

Even I'm getting a bit tired... that's why I haven't been posting as much as usual. But my break from the front lines was worth it, I think.

well theres another thing to tace care of
i think its called the Graham's law of social change

if the moderates are removed, the radicals move in.
cant say how true that is

I'm not quite sure that people are exhausted, it's just that we don't get to hear enough about it. No counter-Authoritarian movements are being made because of the fear of being labeled "Anti-American" AKA Terrorist.
We can thank the Right Wing for that...
I would propose that "people" or at least the well-informed intellects are as hardened as ever againts the Rightist/Authoritarian government that we have seen progress into government.
Damn it, I hope the Democrats can get it together long enough to Fight the Right....

the democrats aren't threatening his presidency with any legal action
